Balasubramaniam retracts SD against Najib

More drama! More stunning events! Barely 24 hours after making some serious allegations against the DPM, ranging from anal sex to corruption, the same complainant - private investigator P. Balasubramaniam - has decided to withdraw the charges he had made in the statutory declaration. The PI is said to have turned up at the Prince Hotel at 10.30am in a hurriedly called press conference. He distributed his six-page press statement and quickly made his exit before even the press could talk to him. He has denied Razak Baginda informing him that he was introduced to Altantuya by a VIP, denied being told that Najib Tun Razak had a sexual relationship with Altantuya, denied Baginda telling him that Najib had met Altantuya at a dinner in Paris. Bala is also denying now that US$500,000 was paid as commission to the Mongolian. It is a complete turn around which has left Malaysians wondering who is telling the truth now. And of course, what the hell is happening.

Dear DWCW,
Hopefully now the press release by the PI is in his own words and writing. The SD looks to good to be drafted by our PI during the Anwar's PC.

The biggest joke in Malaysian history! Who said what and what said who? The environment of TRUST that holds our society together is breaking at its seams! For me, I don't trust politicians anymore in what they said! Show us proofs of everything you said! If not, keep your &%#** mouth SHUT!!

I think what's important is the statement that he has made yesterday infront of the world media and not his retraction. It adds more to the benefit of Anwar's side than it helps Naji, AG and IGP.

This is garbage!! I am going to stop reading news for the next 1 week.

The man claimed he was forced? By who? Who has power and force? What did he say? That he was jailed by the ones who have power to cow him. Now who forced him? I think it is getting interesting that a Commission of Enquiry is all that's needed to clear the mess and definately the King will do that. Just watch this space. In order to clear the name of Malaysia, the King will do it since the ones who are involved are the IGP, AG and DPM. How do you expect them to sell their lives, power trappings and even lives at this stage? No way. Good. This will bring the King into the play bcoz he will take over and a Commission will be set up soon.

Now who's the joker all along?

1. Death threat and goes in to hiding in Turkish embassy?

2. Walked out from hiding and stated he may contest in Sanglang ADUN seat (maybe he wants to become PM of Perlis?)

3. And still no MP crossing over....

4. Made a police report of a ten year old case? With the ex IGP already charged and convicted.

5. Made a Press conference on Bala SD and Bala later retract in less than 24 hrs.

On the other hand, we just have a police report from a 23 yo. THAT'S ALL...

Asked why he signed the police statement if it did not contain details that implicate Najib, he said he did so under duress.

“If you have experience in the cell, you will definitely sign the statement. I wanted to go out, I have three children.

“For no reason they put me in the lock up Why was I arrested when they can just call me in to take a statement from me,”
he said.

His lawyer, Americk Singh Sidhu, told reporters that the reason why Balasubramaniam made the statutory declaration two days ago was because the prosecution has wrapped up their case against Abdul Razak without raising his revelations.

Balasubramaniam who was the first prosecution witness in the trial, was not asked about Altantuya’s connection with Najib when the hearings began in June last year.

“He was waiting for prosecution to ask but they never did so that’s the reason why he’s surprised and that’s why he came up with the statutory declaration.

“This press conference is to bring into light the available evidence and to tell the police and prosecution that Balasubramaniam is at their disposal at anytime,”
Americk said.

Let this case go on and not just let it go no matter how tired we may become. Justice must prevail and judgment served regardless of any personalities!

Chun Wai,

If the PM does not take swift and decisive action now to calm the nation, I'm afraid, all our rakyat will have to pay dearly for all the negative press that have been hitting and hurting our economy since March 8, 2008. He has to do the right thing now by calling for a full commission of enquiry to investigate and seek the truth on the charges made by PI Balasubramaniam (even though, at the latest Press Conference, he had just announced a retraction of his statutory declaration made last evening).

The whole nation has been spooked by this explosive turn of event and if no clear and decisive action is forthcoming - God, help us!

It appears that a SD is just another toilet paper brand.

I wonder should I go (on leave) or should I stay..

THE BAND HAS ONLY ONE LAST SONG TO PLAY..

Maybe something happened after he made the SD, and that made him shiver and pee in his pants. So he had to quickly retract his declaration.

The Malaysian Insider has it. The man was threatened. And to make it worse. He has only removed the Najib part. Hoy…this makes it juicier.

“He told friends yesterday that he had come under severe pressure after releasing the statutory declaration.”

What is going on? It seems that we are watching a cheap-skate drama. And I suspect this Balasubramaniam is bribed or coered. You think you can simply make a SD and then retract it just like ABC.Gosh!it is fishy and maybe there must be a compromise between the two parties involved.Let's wait and see how the it is going to end in the show.

The press should boycott politics for one day in protest so that people will have an intermission from this circus. At least a tea and toilet break!

Haha This PI lost his balls. No wonder he never stuck around to be a fearless cop, and became PI hoping to have easy time. no wonder our PI industry has a lousy reputation. They mess around with the girls they are supposed to keep an eye on. Then they make and retract statements.

Regarding the KLSE system down fiasco, some heads should roll.
I have been in the IT industry long enough to know that the first blame always go to the system vendors. And the system vendors have to keep their mouths shut to maintain good relations with their customer. But it is always more than that. HP supplies similar system to almost all the big stock echanges of the world, and almost all the credit card companies of the world. Do you hear os such a bad system break down? Can somebody audit the way the system is run and maintained? What was the strength of the backup system and process? You will be surprised that in Malaysia, the backup system and process to recover may have a lot of weaknesses in many companies. Can an independent party check out the KLSE system and backup strategy and process?

Lawyerrs who'd witnessed this SD are the biggest jokers. How could they have stood as witnesses to SD which implicates and degrades others implicitly. Rightfully these jokers should be in the circus instead of practicing lawyers.

Help, I've been sodomised. Do you have the DPM's address?

Anonymous said...

The damage is done. I wholeheartedly believe in the first SD. Why don't you put a poll and see which SD is perceived as true by the public.

OK, the first time he was in jail, his statement was changed, and he was too cowed to protest.
Now he made a second statement (SD), and again he got cowed into retracting.
The only certainty is this Bala fella is a no-balls cow, and easily cowed.
But some dates and time were mentioned in his first SD. There should be an independent investigation into the phone history record to show if there were exchanges of phone calls and sms between Najib's phone and Baginda's phone. That would give a clue into which part of Bala's statement is the real one.

I believe this PI was threaten with his life or was bribed. His face tells the story and why all in a sudden he retracted the SD and makes a new one.He could be sentenced to go jail and why risk his life, right?

The government and PDRM keep putting Malaysia in disrepute. And the country is always put in shame.

Recall that because of PDRM actions, our PM had to apologize to China because a suspected China illegal worker was video recorded doing nude squats in police custody (but later claimed to be a Malaysian girl...mmm but who knows, really )

Now a Mongolian translator, allegedly cum part timer, was blown to pieces. And whatever the outcome of the trial, our PM may have to apologize to Mongolia due to actions of PDRM again.

What's next? UMNO youth wants to challenge the USA? Maybe they can volunteer to fight against the USA? I suggest we pack up all the UMNO youth members to send them to Afghanistan or Iraq to fight the Americans. That way we get rid or a big chunk of problems from malaysia, since they most likely can't survive to come back.

Almost the whole country prayed to GOD to get rid of the BN government. GOD has started answering the prayers of Malaysians, so nothing will be able to stop the process no matter how they try. The GE2008 election is only the beginning. The infighting in UMNO, the saga of Najib, the saga of Anwar, and of Musa, Bala, etc are only part of the process of the fall of the BN government.es, GOD is answering the prayers of Malaysians in removing the BN government. We just need to be patient and continue praying, and to do our little part as well to make it happen.
