Cow head demo: Umno, PAS and PKR show?

Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein Onn said it openly - the Section 23 protestors included members from BN and Pakatan Rakyat. He did not give the breakdown except to say that the unhappiness over the relocation of the Hindu temple involved all parties. It was no longer about politics. The Star reported today that of the 12, who were charged in courts, 7 were from Umno, 4 from PAS and 1 from PKR.

It is understood that the Section 23 Residents' Action Committee members is also made up of people from the three parties. The 10-member panel is said to comprise 7 Umno, 2 PKR and one PAS.

Meanwhile, a group calling itself Perkasa, a Malay non-governmental group headed by Datuk Ibrahim Ali has pledged to provide legal counsel to the 12 protestors, who have been charged with sedition and illegal assembly.

Ibrahim, the maverick MP from Kelantan, has said the group was prepared to take up the case as a jihad. The Pasir Mas MP has condemned the country's leaders as cowards. Ibrahim was in Umno, contested under a PAS ticket and is now an independent. The question now for those charged with sedition - would they still get to keep their party membership if convicted later? After all, both BN and PR leaders have criticised their actions.

These animals should be sacked!
By the way I don't count Hassan Ali and his men as PAS people. They are UMNO people.

good!! PAS, PKR n UMNO united....

They should sack the lot. Their actions went beyond defending any cause and was racial and bigotory.
Failure to do so could be seen as condoning such action.

funding by Brahim katak an independent..truly Malaysian!
Semuanya OK.

This Katak Ibrahim,is the worst type of human being--always hopping from one party to another. finally after exhausting all avenues to be a MP, he was given a lifeline by Pas and thus he became a MP again. But this mother of all kataks showed his true color again by abandoning Pas and became an independent supporting Umno--do we need such leaders.

I already went through all the 12 names (one by one) and cross checked with PAS HQ. None of them is a registered PAS member.

This proves that this stupidity is bipartisan in nature. I wonder what happened to the rest of the cow. Kenduri maybe?

"7 were from Umno, 4 from PAS and 1 from PKR."

Definitely those who demanded the video of the kepala lembu being stepped on to be removed from Mkini website are not from PAS or PKR.

BUT...the PAS & PKR (as claimed) are generally ORDINARY (unheard, unregistered)members.

Nothing compares to UMNO branch ACTIVE CHIEF & COMMITEE members (that claims to be resident) that start all this sensitive crisis.

Darn!! I now regret voting for BN. Appologised for been GREEN back then.

Ibrahim Ali could not counted as Man, because real men have principles, yet this guy can be everywhere just to cause trouble for UMNO, PAS or any other party.

I dont understand Malaysians...whenever something happens, its either BN faul or Pakatan fault...and all will be blogging abt this...What i see concerning this incident is not abt BN vs Pakatan etc (please stop all this nonsense) coz there's a bigger issue concerning the cow head which shld be thought of which is the racial tension and intollerence towards once another...we had a gd 50 years with full peace and harmony and mutual respect...what is happening now? have we lost it? reflect on ourselves and stop all this condemning abt party...am getting sick of it...for a thought, Malaysia is what it is today is due to our effective government - which provided us with education, stable economy etc...thank them for its efforts...maybe a new government is needed, but if it happens, lets make it a mature political transition process...ordinary malaysians wants to see a harmonious, peaceful and stable country...do you all GET IT?

Khalid Samad of PS has said that if an of these louts are from PAS, he will recommend them to be sacked! I know PKR has the same stance.
UMNO???

It is important to find out what were the exact role of those 12. Being in the same committee is not offensive to anyone. The right to gather peacefully without arms is guaranteed by the federal constitution.

If those from PAS and PKR are only charged with illegal assembly, I think their party should stay by them.

Only those who threatened blood shed and those who carried the cow head and stomped on it should be left to the wrath of the law.

I suspect that they are ALL FROM UMNO.

The country is beyond repair, it.s time to migrate and let these idiots and those self-interest politicians continue with their wild parties.Don't waste your time.

There is a lot of blame on Pakatan, accusing Pakatan of not administering its states properly. But don't forget that the federal government and the state civil servants (many of whom are UMNO supporters) have both been sabotaging the Pakatan state governments' efforts. Efforts to twart the Pakatan state government include withholding federal funds, which rightfully should have been disbursed in proportion to the income tax collected from each state, as well as shared revenue like oil, etc.

Malaysians are really bullshitting ourselves. Every Malaysian's IC has a tag in it that says whether you are Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu or lain lain. And every "bumiputra" is tagged a Muslim. And everybidy that has thus been tagged is assumed to be practicing his/her religion. We are just bullshitting ourselves, and refusing to see reality, maybe out of political reasons. We all know not all "bumiputras" practice Islam. They are more than happy to join their Chinese or Indian friends for a night out to party with beer, wine, whiskey, etc., and they "curi makan" during puasa month by asking their non-Muslim friends to "bungkus" some food for them. We also know that the Indians who have been tagged as Hindus, or claim to be Hindus, are not all practicing Hindus, and some of them do eat beef. And we all know that the Chinese who call themselves Buddhists are not really Buddhists. These people who claim to be Buddhists are supposed to be vegetarians, but are happily eating all kinds of meat-pork, beef, chicken, etc. In fact many Chinese get confused between Buddhism and Taoism, and mixed the two. And many people with the word "Christian" tagged in their ICs don't even go to church on Sundays.
Yes, we Malaysians are a real hypocritical and confused lot. And then Malaysians quarrel over religious issues as if they are all so religious and pious, when in fact many Malaysians are really far from holy. But Malaysians can generally get along quite well if not for the blady instigation and manipulation by the politicians. I am a non-Muslim who grew up in a Malay kampung. The Chinese, Malays, Indians and Eurasians there all get along fine and have a healthy interaction until the politicians all get in the way to separate the people.
