Najib, Pak Lah and Dr M together - what a coup!

It's certainly a massive coup. It brought the house down at the PWTC. Just barely 24 hours ago, Dr Mahathir Mohamad had snubbed the party but suddenly, today at around 11.30am, he decided to show up at the Umno general assembly. He cancelled a function involving a relative at the last minute surprising even his aides.

There was maximum impact as he walked in just as newly elected deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin was wrapping up his speech. Loud cheers greeted Dr Mahathir as he walked into the hall, proving that the man still enjoys the support of the delegates. It was certainly a great public relations exercise, whoever it was who engineered the entire show.

There is certainly much significance from today's drama. There is now a new Umno president and a new PM soon. It's time to end the feud between Dr M and Pak Lah. There was more - Dr M said he would be rejoining Umno. The guns would now be aimed at their common nemesis - Anwar Ibrahim. We can expect plenty of fireworks from now with the combined strength.

sour grapes realised what he had done yesterday may back fire....

at the back of his mind he must have realised that UMNO is indeed kurang ajar and may come after him......

As long as these UMNOputras refrained from using the draconian laws, sorry they will not be able to beat Anwar.
I am no supporter of both but the country will be further damage especially when you allow the old man who think he has the best brain to meddle poking everywhere as he likes.
Good luck my country and hopefully spinner like you will pay the price one day. GOD is always great.

Dear Wong,

Don't read too much into this so called massive coup. To me, it is just a drama, a wayang kulit.

Dr M has said that he will only join Umno on certain conditions. This is ridiculous.

Why must he be so special?

To many, Dr M has been a good leader. He can lead and has superior intellect but he is also a great hypocrite in many ways.

He has messed up in many ways too. His time has passed. He should just retire gracefully as a statesman. Just let the present leaders lead.

Coup? A party that has either goons that are convicted for money politics and still run a state, a politican that has been found guilty and still win...aiyoooo....WCW...you can do better. Just because your favorite politican is back in the foray, you don't have to be a stooge.

I'm very happy to watch this.

Work hard UMNO and Barisan.

I hear somebody saying Anwar - you mean the ex-Finance Minister who conspire to sell his whole country and nations to International Monetary Fund ?

You sure knew it very well who is the favourite by the west. Coincidence ?

This was supposed to be AAB's farewell party. But unfortunately for AAB, someone else stole the limelight and got all the applause that should have been AAB's. Mmmmmmmmm , not good. AAB supporters will not be happy about this. Especially when TDM had once said that he will rejoin UMNO after AAB steps dowm as PM, and then TDM did just that right after AAB announced his resignation as PM !! This is a slap in the face for AAB.

Even if the thre PM's join hands to attack Anway Ibrahim, the truth is it will be difficult for BN to win the electons as long as they unfairly treat the Hindraf detainees. Some of whom are sick and need help. Is this a caring Government? I want a stable, honest and a clean government. I am a supporter of the BN Govt. and I want to see it rule for long.

Agreed! Tun M is a hypocrite and a racist. He needs lots of attention and continuous ego trip..

The only man who was sacked and re-accepted by UMNO.
The only man who gets away with dissolving UMNO and created a new UMNO.
The only man who resigned and welcome back to UMNO.

He is the bogeyman master...

You didn't read TDM's lips, did you?

When asked when he would be rejoining, he said 'when the right time comes'.

I think his motive is to ensure Khairy is out of the main scene and to do that he has to put his pressure on the leadership. Believe me, he would only rejoin if the leadership could commit the exit plan of Khairy in the near future. Dr.M as we know is no ordinary man.

Well, I have to say that I think Mahathir is a strategist. He is smart and calculative. I think him appearing at the UMNO GA was wise and bodes well for the cohesiveness of the party. I dunno what the ramblings are all about -this is politics and politicians at their best. I really dont think UMNO, PKR, PAS or DAP is any different. All great shows for people. I have to say that I am happy that Muhiyiddin is in -he keeps a low profile and just focus on the work. I think it is wise that Pak Lah annouced his departure date -UMNO can start working buidling the cohesiveness of the country. I just wish there could be better respect and kindness all around for all the political parties. Stop lah the bickering, sniggering and being critical. Lets seriously come out strong for all this.

This action by Tun Dr M once again reinforces the view that he is a shrewd manipulator.

His next target is likely to be the UMO Youth chief.

Please zoom in where Mahathir's and Pak Lah's hands/fingers meet. They are hardly touching each other.

Hypocrites of the highest order. You can fool some of the people some of the time, some of the peaople all the time BUT you simply cannot foll ALL the people ALL the time.

Borrowed this quote from Lincoln.

TDM retire gracefully let the young generations have their way you already have your day. Your stlye not suitable for multi racial people in Malaysia. You are not the comprising and moderate person(give and take) to unite all Malaysians we don't need this kind of person to give negative ideas for the nation We have got a lot of talented and efficient people better than you to offer their contributions to move Malaysia forward and not backward.
