Yes, Here is My Home

Some days, it is good to remind ourselves what our Home is all about.

Click here for this video clip of multi-ethnic Malaysian artistes, including Ning Baizura, Awie, Afdlin Shauki, Jaclyn Victor, Suki and many more, sing about Home. This project is produced by Pete Teo and directed by Yasmin Ahmad and Ho Yuhang.

Getting sentimental, Datuk? If only our politicians from all the divides get together and sing together and raise funds for a common cause.

Finally. I have been waiting for someone to blog about it since the video first came out. It is most unfortunate that this video received less attention than the whole UMNO-Mahathir fiasco, in both mainstream news as well as the Malaysian blogosphere.

Hi Datuk,
I am surprised why such a well meaning and truly reflective (well at least to a lot of people's aspiration) of a MALAYSIA, TRULY ASIA society is not promoted more vigorously! I do not expect to see this being promoted in the MSM, but sadly it is also conspiciously missing from most of the more popularly read blogs!! So SYABAS Datuk for putting this up... Now let me get a piece of tissue to wipe the tears from my face after watching such a 'moving' MTV... and MALAYSIA BOLEH!!!

Yes, we'd like to come together, but not under the leadership of those Barisan Nasional leaders tainted by their past behaviour of encouraging or condoning racism, corruption and mediocrity.

mainstream printed media has not gone to town with a story that deserves to be trumpeted. but astro is playing the song every hour on many stations and aired the 'making of' last night on hitz tv. media people seem to regard this as a teen thing and wave it away. but according the the project's official site announcement, the video is now no.6 on the 'most viralled video in the world' chart published by Metro in the UK. is mainstream media about to miss the boat again on a relevant story?

Frankly I find the lyrics a wee bit mushy. Good effort though, for karaoke sessions, but it ain't gonna happen. Keep dreamin' and dreamin' on. Forget the love, let's first start speaking with one heart and the rest will follow.

After months of reading all sorts of things in so many blogs, I like this one the best. Whatever anyone says, it sort of gives some glimpse of hope, though it will do nothing to change anything, but hope is all we have at the moment.
