Exciting weeks ahead

An exciting week awaits Malaysians. DSAI has served notice that he would be announcing plans for a by-election and has again said that Sabah and Sarawak MPs from the Barisan Nasional would be defecting to the Pakatan Rakyat. In short - there would be a by-election, widely speculated to be Bandar Baru Kulim, which is located next to Permatang Pauh - and possible defections. Anwar is saying his Sept 16 plan to form a new federal government is on track. So far, the police and the Attorney General's Office have kept mum on the sodomy allegations against Anwar. Will there be more fresh details from the investigations? If there are new developments, how would that affect his by-election campaign plans? For the next one week or two, it look set to be turbulent.

Anwar is nothing but a lot of hot air. Talk, talk, talk but nothing happens.

While general Malaysians are looking forward for a brighter Malaysia, you seem to be eagerly waiting for Anwar's prosecution.
Why this amount excitement in Anwar's prosecution?

What is so exciting? The Rakyat should be fuming mad over the go ahead to purchase the Mercedes in Terengganu exco in these times of their difficulties! A big @**@##* slap on Rakyat's face! I am fed up, literally! Dear Datuk, you should highlight that!

I am pretty confident there won't be any by-election for DSAI before September 16th. The risk is too high. If indeed DSAI commands a strong following as claimed then logically it does not matter where he should contest. Any PKR seat should be safe enough for him. Unfortunately, despite his public show of confidence he is unsure about winning. He is still looking around for the safest seat. And he has not found one except in his wife's constituency.

September 16th will come and go. And DSAI will have a bagfull of excuses why he did not contest in a byelection and why the Sabah & Sarawak MPs did not cross over.

Dear Chun Wai,

Aint believing its's happening till it happens. So far only a no-count politician like Fauzi has crossed to his fence. Fat hopes from Sabah since the two top guns are eyeing for the UMNO veep post. The sure thing is Anwar court case is pending.

People who support DSAI would like to see more results than hearing mere rhetorics. It has been very much the latter all this while, from the SAPP saga to the no-confidence motion in the parliament. From what I observe, it is AAB who wins the fight so far. AAB is a much shrewder politician, even though he's a downright incapable PM. He keeps silent and strikes at the right moment with the lethal weapons from the instruments of the state. By contrast, DSAI has the propensity to make his moves known in advance, thereby giving his enemies a lot of time to get prepared and defend themselves. I'm sure the majority of the people want to see changes in the country. They're prepared to take the risk of supporitng a new force to replace the corrupt BN-Umno government. People would like to see DASI succceed, as PR is the only viable new force available to them. DASI has the people's power behind him. But he has to use this power more effectively against the power of incumbency. I really hope the DASI camp could replan their tactics and make them more lethal. The people pray for their success.

The BN-UMNO government has lost every shred of credibility. It is now a pariah government in the eyes of both Malaysians and the rest of the world.
Gerakan, MCA and UMNO members have started defecting. Yes they are only trickles now, but that is how things start. The trickles will become big leaks, and then become rivers. It takes a lot of courage for the first few to do so. Even the Terengganu state government is now challenging their federal leadership, and starting to throw dirt: investigate the high maintenance charge of the state protons..who is ripping the rakyat in car maintenance billing? Investigate the monsoon cup and the Islamic civilization theme park. Maybe there are some surprises coming from the east coast.

As I suspected, the Terengganu MB did have something up his sleeve on the Benz move. I think he has forced an ACA investigation into the whole SPANCO issues, and also bringing up the monsoon cup and Islamic civilisation theme park controversy. The Benz was the bait to create an uproar to get the spotlight! More surprises from the east coast for Badawi??? Will they even pull out from UMNO to become independents, or even join PKR or PAS ?
