SAPP to table no faith motion against PM

It's a defiant act. The Sabah Progressive Party is essentially asking to be sacked. For some, it's as good as being out of the Barisan Nasional now following the party's stunning announcement that the party would table a vote of no confidence against the Prime Minister. The party's vice-president and MP for Tawau Datuk Dr Chua Soon Bui is expected to do the job. Sepanggar MP Datuk Eric Enchin Majimbun, who is overseas, has supported the move. At the press conference in Kota Kinabalu today, Chua cited the lack of concrete actions by the PM and the burden of the fuel price hike. She said the people had lost confidence in Pak Lah's leadership and that even Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah and other Umno leaders had asked him to step down. The question now is whether the Dewan Rakyat Speaker would allow the motion to be tabled and if allowed, whether there would be enough MPs to support the motion. How the Sabah Umno MPs, who have been critical, would react would be closely watched. Chua, in fact, mentioned their names - Datuk Ghapur Salleh, Datuk Anifah Aman and Datuk Bung Mokhtar - in her statement. Whether the SAPP decision would snowballed into a political storm waits to be seen but what is certain is that Barisan Nasional component parties leaders are likely to call for the SAPP to be sacked from the BN. The easterly wind could well turn into a storm.

AFTERSHOCK OF ELECTION TSUNAMI

IT IS KIND OF A DELAYED AFTERSHOCK AFTER THE TSUNAMI. THE SAPP ACTION AS A SMALL BUT IMPORTANT MEMBER OF BARISAN WILL SEND SOME KIND OF SIGNAL TO OTHER SENIOR MEMBERS OF THE BARISAN NASIONAL

IT IS WAITING TO HAPPEN.

SOME SAYS GERAKAN WAS CONSIDERING WITHDRAWING THEIR MEMBERSHIP FROM BARISAN AS A MARK OF PROTEST TO THE WEAK LEADERSHIP OF PAK LAH AND THE HIKE OF FUEL WHICH IS CAUSING SO MUCH HARDSHIP TO PEOPLE.

SAPP MOVE WILL SHAKE THE VERY CORE OF THE POLITICAL LANDSCAPE IN THE COUNTRY.

AS AN ACT TO DIVERT ATTENTION, THEY BEGUN ATTACKING PETRONAS AND TAN SRI HASSAN WHICH IS MORE POLITICAL MOTIVATED AND AN EXCUSE TO REPLACE TAN SRI HASSAN WITH SOMEONE TO THEIR LIKING.

THEY DID THE SAME ACT YEARS AGO ON KHAZANAH NASIONAL AND AZMAN WENT IN WITH HIS TEAM FROM BINA FIKIR.

NOW THEY USE THE STORM TO SHAKE TAN SRI HASSAN DOWN, SO THAT THEY PUT THEIR HAND IN THE PETRONAS PIE WHICH IS VERY VERY REWARDING, TO SAY THE VERY LEAST.

SOME HOW I HOPE THE VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE ON PAK LAH WILL GO THRU AND MAKE HIM RESIGN SOONER THEN LATER BEFORE MORE DAMAGE IS DONE BY, AS DISCRIBE BY TAN SRI LIM KHENG YEIK, "BUDAK BERHINGUS!"

FOR THE COUNTRY, HIDUP MALAYSIA!!

This is a good move for SAPP, working from "within". Sabah suffers so much from slow infrastructure, public amenities and level of income, and so is Sarawak. The natives of the TWO states are categorized as bumiputera but being regarded as second class bumiputera compared to the bumiputera from the sub-category of "ketuanan Melayu" . So many promises has been made - starting from the 20 points agreement for joining Malaysia - today, in Sarawak, the majority Dayak 65% still is deprived of the Chief Minister when the agreement clearly stated that when the Governor is a Malay/Muslim, the Chief minister must be a Dayak. I hope the 15 Dayak MPs from Sarawak will support this "vote of no-confidence" motion for the sake of the natives of Sabah Sarawak.

To the ordinary folks , its not really something new. We have been cursing him and his Govt since 2004 and even more with the unjust fuel hike and TNB hike on 1 July.
The last election saw a lot of his kuncu in Umno, MIC, MCA Gerakan and PPP lost heavily but no one in the BN has the guts to do the right thing.
Lets not beat around the bush, honestly speaking , Datuk, do you think he has the qualities to be the PM?
He cannot control his SIL and his racial slants and Mat Rempit acts.
He flip flop his decision all the time.
He buys a plane thru PMB and he said Govt not buying.Pure stupidity, when PMB is owned by MOF.
He said no election, then next day announced one.
He said no increase until Aug, but immediately went up at midnite.
He said to fight corruption and yet want to maintain close tender for his cronies.
He said he will walk the talk, yet during the flood in Johor, he was in Perth oficiating a mamak shop that closed down 6 months later.
He said he will appoint the MB for Terengganu and Perlis and yet have to eat humble pies.
The list goes on........why is he hanging on to the job when so many people dont want him. Even thick skin has its limits.
Is he trying to korek something?

The Speaker will not allow it. There is no precedence for it... to be treated as an urgent matter to supersede the other matters of the day. End of story.

i do not think that the SAPP decision will snowball into another political storm. I see SAPP as a lone ranger. Opposition parties will most likely support SAPP's decision. Well that is all to it. Any BN MPs to follow? Yes, in our dreams!!!!!!!!!!!! The late Peter Drucker once famously said "IT IS FOOLISH TO EXPECT CHANGE FROM THOSE WHO HAVE BENEFITTED FROM THE OLD ORDER".
