BN component party to leave coalition?

Anwar Ibrahim is not the only one keeping Malaysians in suspense with his Sept 16 promise of forming the new federal government. Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah has now predicted that a Barisan Nasional component party would leave the coalition at the end of the month. He claimed he has received news. Bahasa Malaysia online media, Agenda Daily, has speculated that it would either be Gerakan or SAPP. Not many will bet on Gerakan, that's for sure. The website has even taken the trouble to call the two SAPP MPs, Enchin Majimbun (Sepanggar) and Chua Soon Bui (Tawau) but both seemed to suggest it's not true. It's no secret that SAPP chief Datuk Yong Teck Lee is unhappy that the party has only two parliamentary seats and feels that Sabah has been neglected. He has met the Prime Minister, telling him at least three times during the meeting, to take the unhappiness of Sabahans seriously. But there is now less talk of jumping ship in Sabah. The pledges made by PM seemed to have paid off, at least for now. The Sabahan politics are seasoned political poker players. One's thing for sure, they won't join any Semananjung political party and play second fiddle.

Scare tactics and rumor, mongering, Malaysian style. If you say it long enough people will eventually believe it. Does not matter whether it's truth or fiction. It is a ruse to divert the eyes of the people away from their own dirty linens. How can anyone trust these two when they were part of the system well groomed in the art of corruption. Wonder how much had gone into their pockets?

I'm puzzled, aren't they already playing second, if not third fiddle?

What difference does it makes? Gerakan has lost significantly in the last election so that its presence or absence in BN does not matters much. SUPP is a very small party to be reckoned with. In fact MIC can also leave because its president sounds more like an opposition leader than BN partyman lately. MIC, Gerakan and SUPP can form a new alliance should they wish to.

Nooone in BN cares if Gerakan or SUPP leaves. The sooner the better. Their presence in the goverment is "seperti during dalam daging" which literally means "like thorn in the flesh".

BN component party in Sabah and Sarawak are all crooks. Why are they in Malaysia in the first place and welling to be raped by the Semananjung UMNO. Just look at the countries that didn't join Malaysia and the answers are for all to see. Brunei petrol price is 0.53 per Liter and their money is 2.37 times more value and the little red dot have reserve of US300 Billion which is equvilent to RM967 Billion. Even if our oil field is pumped dry till last drop we still don't have RM967 Billion.

Hi Mr Chun Wai, as a sabahan i totally agree with u regarding the sabahan not supporting the semenanjung coz the culture here are more of family links n worst they are so complacent just having land n a proton car. That's how our local leaders fed my parents to enable them to take n keep theirs for 7 generations.
As for me my parents educated us n why i can read n wonder when we are going to change.

The only way here is money n entertainment, even my clerk take a 3 days leave to make the collection but pity she will not testify coz it will involve her far far uncle but still family.

I should have made it clear that the two guys I was talking about were Anwar and Razaleigh. Two old crooks trying to fool gullible Malaysians with no brains to think for themselves.

UMNO aka BN is washed up already, what goes around comes around, the crooks of past and present are still singing the championing and being a savior anthems, its futile the people have already awaken, no more will they be humble and lorded by the so-called tradition, culture, protocol, hierarchy and that 'respect' bullshit for elected representatives, ministers and others.

It is amazing how a little promise would make the Sabahan cool down. All the chest tumping blah , and no one dare to take the next step. Teck Lee is correct that Sabah is now being forgotten.

"See, u got a new "Sabah" VC and accountant, enough what!"
