Earlier post

Expect newly sworn in Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak to unveil a slew of populist announcements to win over the support of the people over the next one week. The country's sixth PM will kick off with an appearance on TV tonight where he is expected to give a glimpse of what to expect from his administration. He is likely to talk about his One Malaysia call to bring Malaysians together and the reforms he would be carrying out. He is said to be planning to visit Kampung Baru, Chinatown and Brickfields as symbolic gestures to promote his "one nation, one people" agenda under his leadership. Immediately after the April 8 by-elections, he is likely to name his new Cabinet line-up, which is expected to be smaller. But over the next 48 hours, we can expect a few stunning announcements. Watch this space for details.

Thanks for the heads up.
his 100 days plan would be greater than AAB's.
He has a shadowy group that is working on the goodies and have seen able to coordinate like a movie director. They can even get MACC/ police to the act if able. So, surely what you say is true.

FOR COUNTRY WANTING TO BE ONE

For any earthly country to be one
The people must not be in dire want
With problems not solved by a wand
Using nothing else but mere 'wang' (money)

Are Malaysian politicians, especially those from UMNO, morons ? How can there be a 'ONE MALAYSIA' when there exists discrimination by the Government against the non-Malays? Would the Malays have shown the kind of patience, understanding, tolerance and even acceptance of the NEP had it been the other way around?

Dear Chun Wai

Hello Najib. Bye Tun Abdullah.
Will Najib's tagline or slogan be One Bangsa Malaysia, One heart, One mind?
I already feel comfident. He's a quick learner.
Still remember I and sister interviewing him after his father's funeral. He cannot speak Malay.
A month later after he became Pekan MP, he alrady mastered the language.
Happy that two of Pahang's fave sons became PM.
His father my dad's generation and him my generation.
Prouder still he's born in my hometown of Kuala Lipis.
Wish him and old pal Rosmah all the best.
Like them I also love the 70s songs. Huhu our agelah.
P/s. Like all Pahangnites, our leader loves river fish like Ikan Patin and Jelawat.

Yo Chun Wai.
Najib indeed works fast.
he has released 13 ISA detainees.
He has revoked the ban on the two papers.
So his detractors are wrong to predict that he will be practising Mahathirism or be autocratic,
Narilah kita mengorak langkah prjalanan hebat ini.
Go Transformasi.

Populist announcements, we hope, is not an attempt to "buy" votes for the coming by-elections. M'sians are waiting for genuine reforms and the next 100 days will be crucial for us to evaluate our new PM's performance.

If he fails to meet the expectations of the people, many will not hesitate to support the alternative oppositions.

So, let's wait and see. Populist announcements alone are not sufficient to win us over just yet. But as a M'sian, I am hoping for the best and I look forward to a greater M'sia in the days to come.

Dear Wong,

The people are glad that finally, a smooth transition of power is realised.

Every time a PM is newly sworn in, he will promise the Rakyat the SKY, THE MOON AND THE STARS and everything in it. The rakyat will be filled with hope once again.

We CAN only hope against hope that what were being promised will be fulfilled.

We wish the new PM all the best and pray that he will lead the country with wisdom and integrity.

We pray that God will bless the new PM with the wisdom and courage to unite the diverse races so that we can be united and be ONE MALAYSIA.

As citzens, we have to submit and support our leaders if they are sincere and want to lead this nation to greater heights for the good of the people.

THE VISION....ONE MALAYSIA.

ONE MALAYSIA. THIS IS A GOOD VISION.

LET US THE RAKYAT PUT ASIDE OUR DIFFERENCES AND MAKE IT OUR MISSION TO ACHIEVE THE PM'S VISION TO BECOME ONE MALAYSIA.

ONE MALAYSIA.

CHANGE. YES, WE CAN.

AND WITH GOD'S BLESSING, WE WILL!!!!

This is just sandiwara as far as I am concerned. Nothing will change and it will be business as usual in the next few months.

Only time will tell .............

AAB had a great reception as well and unfortunately things didn't quite turn out as he planned.

The rakyat will continue to watch and wait .

We hope that things will improve but know that it is a long road ahead....

Hopefully UMNO and BN will really reform...it is hardest to change perceptions. Better start with cleaning out your own backyard. Start with a clean template.

How about ABOLISHING ISA totally? That will be a REAL commitment to human rights. By releasing 13 ISA detainees while leaving the REST OF THE ISA DETAINEES in prison is not real commitment.

As for free press, how about putting all kinds of restrictions on the Bible,as well as the political press, and even the main stream media. How about not interfering with the cybermedia?
