Day Two: Najib's 1Malaysia Walk
Day Two: PM Najib Tun Razak hit the streets of the capital with a visit to Chinatown in Jalan Petaling, Kampung Kerinchi and Brickfields. The walkabout is to emphasise his One Malaysia Agenda. The visits caught many by surprise as even the press was not informed of the walkabout but enough reporters caught wind of the visits.
Earlier, Najib met Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his family members where they announced their return to Umno. It is an important gesture as his return would mean reuniting Umno and more importantly, an endorsement of Najib's administration.
He has already scored an important point when Abdullah Ahmad Badawi assured him of his support of the leadership. Najib, in return, said he would seek the advice of the two former prime ministers.

New brooms sweep well
It is just a "Drama Minggu Ini".
Remember our ex PM Pak Lah visited the immigration counter in Damansara with the promise of efficiency of civil service during the beginning stage of premiership, it ended up as empty promise...
Now a new show begins....
Pure preview. need to see the real actions.
With the departure of PakLah the cyber and blogsphere becoming very boring....

How can a politician be judged because he gave 2 goodie bags:. The 100 days is nonsense esp for Malaysian politician.... we should not mimic America, cause are our politicians matured and as savy as them?
Like most, i would wait at least a year before his action/policies are debated upon.

Those who can't walk the talk will walk anywhere.
It's too soon to tell how he will perform in the next few months. Such 'friendly' gestures doesn't mean anything if concrete reforms are not put in place.
Let's hope this is not used as a 'sweetener' to win votes for the by-elections.
Any one can go for a walk-walk in China Town, Little India and Kampung Melayu. That still does not make Najib a One-Malaysian yet.
We want to see the REAL thing for the rest of his PMship. We are willing to give him a chance, but he must show he is the real thing. Otherwise it is all talk only, and we have heard many talk by all the past PMs
