BN to form Perak govt, no fresh polls

It's confirmed. There would be no fresh elections as demanded by the Pakatan Rakyat. The Sultan of Perak has not consented to the proposed polls, according to Bernama. The Perak MB and the state exco members have also been told to resign from their positions as preparations are being made for the new BN exco line up including a new MB to be sworn in soon. If Nizar fails to do so, his position would be considered as vacant. The political temperature in Perak is however getting hot. Anwar Ibrahim is meeting Nizar and a gathering would be held in protest against the collapse of the PR government. The IGP has issued a warning against the gathering while sources said the police have cancelled the leave of its top brass to maintain the security in the state.

A travesty of justice!

The people will remember this injustice done to them. I will devote every single ounce of my energy to seeing the demise of UMNO/BN!

Supporters of PR must accept the fall of their government gracefully. Any attempt to hold a gathering to protest its collapse would be highly unwise. Blame their own MPs but not the system for the demise of the PR government in Perak.

We must remember that Anwar has also tried to form a new federal government using the same defection tactics.

Well done, Najib!!! You've defeated Anwar in his own game.

I forecast they will be many naive & foolish Pakatan supporters getting bashed up by FRU for not following law & order tonite in that whatsoever illegal gathering.

I agree with ChengHo. Anonymous, when Anwar calling for 916 about BN people hop to PR, isn't it the same theory? If Anwar successfully did that in 916, are you going to PROTEST against him?

Don't forget that sultan is considering all the cause only make such decision. You think that Sultan don't want to have what is best for the Rakyat Perak?

Come-on Anwar start it first, let him regret and learn a lession. Ask the remaining PR states to do the best then wait for next GE.

I wish to take this GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY to congratulate Datuk Seri Najib & BN for forming the new State Govt. of Perak.

I also wish to extend further congratulations to Datuk Seri Najib for defeating Anwar Ibrahim in his own game.

I guess the moral to this event is "NEVER OPEN YOUR MOUTH FISRT. OTHERWISE, YOU'LL END-UP GETTING SHIT IN YOUR OWN MOUTH INSTEAD"

Anwar Sept 16 claim was a bluff to save Perak PR government... The best defense is to attack... If there was no Sept 16 claim, Perak should fell earlier... Why I called it as a bluff??? because to get 30 people is a huge tasks.... That's 21% of BN MPs... Impossible la... He did so just to make BN busy with MP and left Perak alone as Perak thas the slimmest majority of all state government...

We all got brains.. so use it la...

Michael Gaw,

I know alot of PR supporters desperate to call by-election. But izzit rational to always call a by-election when someone defeat to opposition party? In that case, all the $ just put into by-election campaign.

The best move now is wait for next GE and re-evaluate. Mean while the Gov should tackle the frog issues together with opposition IF Anwar decide to stop "gorek" people BN.

Never knew there are so many idealistic people around.

Next GE? Hahaha, what a laugh.

You have just seen how skilful Najib is, in the art of war. Think Pak Lah has a chance against him?

And this is only just the beginning.

By the time the next GE comes around, no one can stand against him. He shall rule with an iron fist in a glove made of currency notes. Even Mahathir can't hold a candle to Najib.

I salute you, Najib, a true Malay pahlawan worthy of your old man.

The whole political saga in Perak exposes the weakness in both the political system of our country and the weakness in the quality of candidates chosen to represent the people.
Our political parties (PR & BN) are weak since they are using underhand tactics to win some political mileage!
SERVE THE PEOPLE NOT YOUR OWN INTEREST!
